The project
MoneyGram asked Cultures Connection to arrange a certified translation from English into Polish. The client specifically required a sworn translation and wanted to clarify whether the request could be managed remotely. The assignment was handled through exchanges between the client and the project manager.
Requirements and challenges
An important part of the brief concerned delivery. An electronic version was sufficient for the client’s immediate use, while a paper copy was also included in the agreed service. Both formats were therefore addressed when the quotation was prepared and accepted.
For this kind of assignment, the practical challenge extends beyond translating the text. The requested certification must be distinguished from the way the result is sent: a scan, an electronically signed file and a signed paper original are not automatically interchangeable. The delivery arrangements need to reflect the actual instructions.
Coordination and delivery
Cultures Connection coordinated the translation and informed the client when the electronic version had been sent. The correspondence records the client’s confirmation of receipt of the scan and the arrangements for dispatching the physical copy to its office in Poland.
This project illustrates how a certified translation can be coordinated at a distance while keeping the document format explicit. From the initial request to delivery, a single project contact helped establish the scope and organise the handover. For each new assignment, the recipient’s requirements and the available certification options are checked before the service is confirmed.
